Steve Kline came through with a solid 5 and one third innings and catcher Adam
Melhuse had 3 base hits as the Tombstone Huckleberries defeated the
struggling Lewisville Fire Ants by the score of 7 to 2 at the
ballpark.
Kline(1-0) slammed the door shut in an excellent relief performance. He
allowed just 2 hits and no walks in 5 and 1/3 innings reducing his ERA from
5.28 to 3.92. Lewisville was out-hit by Tombstone, 13 hits to 7.
Kip Wells(1-8) was the losing pitcher. He was knocked around by Tombstone,
allowing 9 hits and 4 walks in 5 innings.
